Heron's Note
Reclaiming my brand felt like my own David vs Goliath story. I started thinking about the rock in David's slingshot and symbols of resilience, courage, and strength that have survived over time. I researched iconic structures like Stonehenge, pyramids, and the Acropolis, in search of a symbol that resonated with my journey. On a trip to the MET's Greek and Roman art department, I found something that stood out yet felt instantly familiar: a nearly 2,000-year-old marble sarcophagus fragment with a Black African's face, not often seen in Roman sculptures. It felt unique, rare, and perfect for my journey and where I see all of this going, a reminder that I'm here to stay.
