a step up in sunglasses

so last summer i was all about the ray ban clubmasters. lets just take a moment of silence to re-visit that post.

I was into the whole ray ban thing. the wayfarers and the clubmasters. i even held it down with a grand prix pair of way farers that my girl copped for me at a flea market in france. you can see me rocking them in this photo below, taken by photographer emmanuelle tricoire back in april of 07:

i think it’s safe to say that it’s time for me to move on. i had my fun. so, i looked to movie director wong kar wai for inspiration into what i’d be rocking this summer. i had to take it a bit more grown man. this is his signature pair that he always wears, night and day, even when directing movies at night.

i dont know what brand they are, but today i set out to find a similar pair. i started and finished at moscot on delancey. they have an ill selection of vintage glasses. i came out with this babies, a vintage pair of Willis & Geiger. i took those photos below as my girl chewed me out about me deciding to buy the new iPhone. she said i would look gay typing on the phone. newayz, as moscot didnt have what i was looking for i ended up with these babies. a pair of safari jump offs. but i must still find the Wong Kar Wai’s!!
